When I was asked by Wallpassion to create a palette of colours, it was easy to be inspired by my own home.
My name is Helena Lyth and I am a true functionalism fan. I grew up in a listed functionalist house and now I live in my own with my husband, three children and two cats.
I am surrounded by colours every day and they give so much energy.
Some of the colours are from the origins of the house in 1940 - the colours that are in the walls. Other colours are ones I've added and thought complemented the 2022 functionalist house.
#156 Arbetsro is the newest colour in my home and just like its name, the location of the colour is my study. Very lovely energy that gives warmth and light, all year round. And the year round has been important in my colours because what works well in bright June should also feel right in dark December. #W157 Matvila in our dining room is exactly that colour. #159 Sovmorgon I have developed with my daughter who is now going to redo her room. I have also repainted a dresser in it with carpentry paint. An all-round colour. And I would also say that #W158 Skafferi is - can be the perfect wall colour where you want light but not white.
